A Day in the Life

12 Jul

I haven’t moved yet, but I’m spending the week in Orange County for apartment hunting and a training. The past few days have provided me with a glimpse into what life here will be like, and I’d like to share it with you:

SATURDAY

12:00pm – Lunch with friends from high school that I’ve known for 20 years. Lots of catching up, observations on getting older, and some reminiscing.

4:00pm – Go swimming at my partner’s parents’ house with his entire immediate family and the kids

6:30pm – Spend 90 minutes driving to Los Angeles

8:00pm – Get hungry and stop at In ‘n’ Out for a cheeseburger animal style

SUNDAY

9:00am – Think about getting up (being with my partner makes me more lazy)

10:00am – Finally get out of bed

2:00pm – Stop at Laguna Hills Mall to pick up something and for a snack at the food court

6:00pm – Go for a beautiful walk on the beach

7:30pm – Have a home cooked dinner with my parents while watching 60 Minutes

MONDAY

9:30pm – Go to my partner’s friends’ house and play video games

1:00am – Exhausted, go to bed

TUESDAY

6:00am – Alarm goes off

6:18am – Get up after three snoozes

7:37am – Catch the train from Santa Ana to LA Union Station, spend the train ride writing a blog post

8:45am – Arrive at work
